    Shotgun Case Recommendations

    I just bought a Mossberg 50521, I need a hard case.

    the 50521 is 40" length.

The cheapy Plano's for under $30 bucks, would fit the need since it is only going to be use for travel from home to range. However the length of the Plano is 52" inches. I would like to get something around 42-45 inches.

Anyone have a recommendation for a cheapy hard case in the 42-45 inch size?

I have a few cheap hard cases like you showed. I really dislike them, they feel cheap and don't work well. I would go with a soft case, unless you want to spend a bit more and get a quality hard case.

I've never had problems with cheap softcases

I use airline quality cases for all my firearms.

I have a pickup truck (no trunk) and it makes me more comfortable that LEO have less of a reason to hassle me.

Ive been using a cheap hard case now for about 20 years. Holds my two 870s. It's cheap and does not lock. Latches are ok. Only use it for transport to range or desert. Never any issues but I'm sure there are a lot better ones but then those cost more $$.

I've gotten my money's worth outta this case. Pelican makes some very nice cases. I use their hard cases for my motorcycle luggage system and would definatley use them as a gun case.
