Browning Citori = Awesome. I bought the Lightning (a field model) as my first O/U mainly because of the cheaper price and I trusted the Browning name. I think it ran me about $1500 or so. Works great as a sporting clays gun.

Thanks for all of the advice guys!

I've been looking at pics of the Ruger Red Label and it is one good looking gun! I will definitely be keeping an eye out one. While I wait for one to come on the market, I'll keep saving up and will rent a couple of over/unders to see what I like best.

Browning Citori is my first choice, I bought a very nice used Ruger Red Label 12 gauge Over/Under for my son which is really a nice shotgun. There are a lot of used guns around check them out.

          Good place for window shopping!
I get quite a bit of slack on CalGuns when I recommend Pacific, however truly, there's no place where you can get the service and attention that Pacific affords.

Yes, their guns are pricey, but then again so is a POF 308 or a Larue OBR or even an LMT...

          Go figure...

I love looking thru their used section online - some great deals and classics.

            On a side note:

            for under 1k, there's a 30" field grade Rem Mod 3200 at Pacific - a heckuva price...

Great shop with excellent service... I like the fact you have real shooters behind the counter instead of your stereotypical gun counter commandos / Mall Ninjas...

Go to your local range, check the boards, talk to people, try their guns. We bought a "63" Superposed last week that is a sweet O/U. (No salt) from a guy at our range. We shot it for over an hour, then bought it. My husband shoots it like a champ, it is too big for me. Apparently I am very short armed, with a 12" LOP. I am going to have to chop some wood and get a good fitting.

We bought the Superposed for $1,700.00.

I don't expect everything handed to me. Just set it down anywhere. Unknown

I've been away from shooting clays for awhile, but I really liked my Win 101 for skeet. I used a Rem 1100 for trap with good results.

                    I'm a 3 Gunner now, so it's Benelli time.
