870 MAGNUM WINGMASTER

I was thinking of tradeing this rifle and was asked the year of it but have not been able to determine the year can any one help with this? it's older i know that for sure just by looking at it lol the guy i got it from about 5yrs ago said it was an older police rifle it has the short barrel with sights and barrel is ported on the top towards end of the barrel any help would be great thanks

Call Remington with the serial number and they can tell you.
I recently did that to find the year of manufacture on a Rem Sportsman 58 shotgun.

That is great for figuring when the barrel was made but not so much on the receiver; particularly on shotguns.

I'd be careful shooting it with that much porting.

It's the way i got it and it shoots great.

well its not to old it was made in 1973 finally got to call Remington.

Barrel is also made in 73
