why 20 guage? for the wife? kids? a lot of my friends that get 20 gauges end up trading them for 12 gauges but that's just my experience, everyone has their reasons for wanting what they want

20 Ga is great for clay shooting and hunting. Shotguns w/pistol grips are not good for this purpose. Also I am not in favor of arming women and children.
We will do as we will do because I am me and you are you.

why pistol grips not good for hunting or clays?

I haven't gotten 20ga because cheap shells cost same for 12ga as 20ga, but I've been told 20ga is the "smart" choice.

No you don't need one. But you want one and that is a good enough reason to get one.

It is best to keep the elbow on the strong arm raised. (also the weak arm) Keeps the gun in a better shooting position both pre mounted and more so mounting from a carry or low gun position. Pistol grips force the elbow to be low and close to the body.

My brother bought this ammo by accident (was trying to buy 12 gauge at wally world, and they dont exchange) and gave it to me. My wife has a 20 gauge, but its a single shot break away with a bent barrell...

So, Just thought it looked cool and would be fun to shoot...
That Mossberg 20 gauge would be a nice replacement for your wife's bent 20 gauge

                            20ga.

I been thinking of getting a Mossy to, just like that one. I really like 20 gauge better than a 12 ga. When hunting upland, it doesn't leave you black and blue after a few boxes of ammo, and it is lighter to carry when you plan on hunting all day. Light recoil 12 ga. Buckshot have about the same ballistics as a 20 gauge, which the largest shot they make is #3 buck in 20 ga. If you end up not liking it I will be happy to take it. Hahaha. You will end up shooting it more than your 12ga.
