    elzetta or CDM light mount

They look to be very similar other than the $10 price difference and the CDM using only one mounting screw. Any input on one being better than the other and why? tia.

I suppose it's just prefrence but I don't think you will find a mount that positions a light closer to the barrel than the CDM. The mount does not move with the one screw. The third generation of the mount allows the use of a swivel kit for a sling.

Dozen Gauge, What light are you using on your set up? Any issues with it fitting the mount?

It's a Streamlight Polytac LED that's been kicking around for a long while now. Amazon seems to have the best price. I paid much more than what they go for now. The CDM mount includes their poly pads which keep the mount from marring the mag tube/barrel/light and aides in preventing slipping. No problem with mounting the light. What I like is the quick dismount with one screw and not having to drag a light mount off the mag tube during service, not to mention marring my s/g's.

Some people report a malfunction with this light but there is a fix. Here's a video link that solves the problem (if encountered).

I have the Elzetta mount and weapon light on my 590A1 SPX. Excellent piece of kit-- ran it through a 2-day course and it was super solid.
