    SA-08 vs super Vinci

I am looking to up grade to a semi-auto shot gun. Currently i have a benelli Nove. I mainly hunt dove, quail and duck and clays of course. I'm torn between a weatherby SA-08 and a Benelli super Vinci. Any feed back would help thanks

Isn't there a pretty big price discrepancy between those two? One is huglu if I remember right with two pistons. Heard nothing but good things about both.

Ya the super Vinci is a 1000 bucks more... That's what I don't get I too have heard nothing but good reviews about both. The only thing the super Vinci does the SA doesn't is it shoots 3.5" loads and has the comfort stock so I'm having a hard time justifying the extra cost

Don't really need the extra .5" for 1k unless the cost isn't a concern. The remington versamax is also a great gun that runs like a pump (doesn't gum up like most semi's).

Sx3 needs to be considered, priced in the middle, smooth shooting, 3.5 chamber available , adjustable stock , shoots any shells i feed them any! ,my two (12ga 3.5 camo duck,12ga 3 gray perma cote on wood for clays) that i own have been flawless literally , 20ga blued and walnut is next on the list

Benelli has a great advertising department , good guns , ergonomically nice but they are to clunky to me its the ak 47 of shotguns which is not a bad thing

Cant say any thing good or bad about the weatherby , looks ok

In the end the proper recommendation is buy the one that is in your price range that fits you the best

You should also consider a benelli m2 is your budget permits. About 1200 bucks and supposedly has one of the most ingenious simplistic actions out there. That's what I'm looking to get. Rem versa Max should also be in the discussion. Handles 3.5" shells for around $1200 as well. Lots of options don't think you can really go wrong.

Go to a shop that has all these in stock and have the salesmen line them up and hold and shoulder all of them a million times and pick the one that feels good and points straight. Bass pro would probably be the best for having alot of these in stock

Versa max seems good never shot one but its almost the same action as the benelli m-4 so it should be good

Brownings, max.,gold/silver hunters , a -5 , i think basically the same as sx3 they feel good to me a little different here and there

Beretta extrema is good but a little to wide feeling in me hands

1187/1100 are what they are you can look them up or ask anyone about them

Do some research on the actions too if you can. There's some slight and not so.slight differences.

I shoot the browning maxxus and love it. I was very serious about the SX3 but the radius of the grip pulled my hand too far back. The Maxxus fits me perfectly and swings very easily. This is my 2 nd duck season with it and I am truly happy!

                            Hey,
Just here to add my .02. I have shot both and I picked up a super vinci. I would never look back. I did quail and dove with it this year (doing geese in December and will be using 3.5") and I have not had a single issue. When it comes to the 3" vs 3.5" I would say buy the 3.5. I would hate to spend that much on a shotty to only later think to myself how i wish it had this....or that... Buy once. If that means saving for another month then do it. You may also want to consider the Benelli Super Black Eagle II. Also a very nice shotgun. (I have experience with the SBE I and it is a beast of a shotgun also).

Either way you'll be happy. Have fun shopping and good luck with the hunts.
