    more noob ?s

What makes a goose gun a goose gun? Why are a lot of them bolt action?

What makes a slug gun a slug gun?

I've read that the rifling on rifled slugs is to allow room for the slug to be swedged through chokes. So it is OK to fire rifled slugs from a choked barrel right? If choke is removable would it be best to do so?

A long barrel, with the ability to shoot 3 1/2 magnum shells, some are bolt action because of the strength

Short barrel, rifle sights, sometimes with rifling
