    Anyone give these shot a try?



    Anyone know if for sale in the SF Bay Area?

    Or is it illegal in this state as well? LOL!

    No, they are not illegal. You can't hunt large game with them outside of a few designated areas. But for non-game animals, or just for fun, they should work just fine. I have heard better feedback on these than I have with the Winchester slug/buckshot loads. Those have plated 00 buck that over-penetrates, and a regular lead slug that is moving to slowly to deform. The worst of both worlds. These, on the other hand, have regular lead for the larger ball and buckshot. The ball is supposed to give better, more reliable penetration than the slug does, and deforms/dumps energy better as well. The buckshot is plain old fashioned lead, and it also deforms and dumps energy into the target. On a whole, I would use this over the Winchester variety any day.
