Interstate 982...is this the Norinco 870?

My brother just bought one from Big 5 and wanted to know where he could get aftermarket parts for it. Are most Remington 870 parts interchangeable with this shotgun? Thanks!

i just picked up one of these too. pretty sweet little gun. from what ive heard, make sure you loc tite your rear ghost ring mount, they can come off.


if you intend to add a mag tube, youll also haev to dremel teh nubs out of the mag cylinder.

you MUST have your brother take it completely apart (push the pins and drop out trigger group, pull out the slide & bolt) and clean it THOROUGHLY. there is a LOT of cosmoline in these guns.

stock is also shorter LOP, i like the compactness compared to my real 870, which also weighs more

I have the socket head or allen head replacement screws for the rear ghost ring sight assembly. They come free with my mag tube extension.

Anyone who wants to replace the ghost ring sight assembly flat head screws with the socket head screws, the thread pitch is M4 metric screws. They are sold at hardware stores for about 50 cent each. You may have to grind them down a little. They will not loosen on you.

All 870 accessories will fit the Norinco 982. Some might require some miner fitting. 870 Barrels will not fit because the barrel locking lug is in a better location.
