Who is the fit Guru in So. Cal?

I have a Beretta 686 and would like to be properly fitted. Who is the person and in addition to approximate cost, how much time should I expect?
    Thanks in advance

Go see Pacific Sporting Arms in Azusa. John will take care of you.

Pacific Sporting Arms does seem to be the place to go. Having bought through them before, they know their stuff very well. Good guys. Great guns.

I recommend cutting out the middle man (Pacific Sporting Arms) and go directly to the gunsmith they use. They are JS Air Cushion. They literally right next door to Pacific Sporting Arms.

Another way to get fitted is to attend one of the SoCal Skeet classes (see the sticky at the top of the Shotgun Forum). Coach Z and Capt Dick do a good job of getting you fit up before the first class. They have plenty of fitting accessories that can be temporary applied to your stock to help with gun fit and mount before you start shooting. This will give you a starting point and an idea of what you might need in the way of stock modifications, if any, that are required.

After getting fit and learning to mount the gun, you'll receive instruction and be shown Don Ziegler's techniques for shooting skeet. He and Richard will have you enjoying yourself and wanting to come back for more. Even if skeet is not your primary focus, taking the class will teach you a lot of shotgun shooting basics that can be applied to other clay sports.

Biggest mistake I ever made was taking a gun there.

The Clinic is the inspiration. LOL.
Thanks for the tips. I'll call JS in the morning. I hope my time gunless is minimal.

Screemnjay, I'd suggest you come out to the clinic at least once more before you have anything done.

Yasser aka Brad seems like the kind of guy to dine and dash. Make that type of comment without telling why. Tsk tsk.

Screemnjay, it's taken me weeks of blue tape on my gun to try and figure out exactly where I want to be. Even still, Coach was hollering at me during the last class because I was too fidgety. LOL Even with the fully adjustable setup I recently purchased, I have no doubt that my times in class will be spent trying to get myself all set perfectly. The shooting will follow.

Sure, the first time I was there they burred up a screw in a 425 20ga forearm I had. The next time they did a half baked job on a 525 recoil pad installation, and cut the LOP too short, the LAST time I was there they refinished a stock for me, and it looked so bad I had them just strip it and give it back to me.

Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me, fool me a third time, man I'm a dumb a-hole, but at least I learned.

And you didn't say anything> John is not known for crappy work.

The screw sounds like it could just be replaced, no big deal. I've burred many screws on shotguns, ordered a new one done.

When you were measured for LOP was that measurement on the invoice? If so, and they didn't do what the invoice indicated they should replaced the stock, did you ask?

If the refinish was that bad and they stripped it down, have them refinish it.... Accept it when you're satisfied, nothing less.

Did you deal with Pacific or JS? Big difference.

Geeze, nothing like debating it with me.

If you want to deal with them fine. Me, never again.
