Shotgun Sling Options???

I'm looking to get a 2-point, preferably even a 2-to-1 point option sling for an FN SLP MK1.

In a perfect world I would like to use my Ares Armor "Husky Amentum" sling and only purchase the necessary QD mounts.

I know "American Firearms Solutions" makes a sling setup but it's $200, which seems a bit crazy...

Anyone else out there already deal with/solve this dilemma? Please let me know what you guys have been using or seen used successfully.

dude adapt overcome achieve . im sure if macgyver walked in right now he could find some stuff in the junk drawer to make it happen . imagine now for second your self driving to the hardware store and after that the fabric store . its seems crazy but you can do and get some ideas . i dont like slings . use what you have and be creative its free

I have a new FNH SLP MK1 and I am looking for a new sling also. I have been looking at the slings that Triad Tactical has. I have one of their tactical slings for my GAP Crusader and one for my Noveske and I am impressed by their quality.

Did you get the tri rail extensions for your SLP MK1? I have the trial rail extensions for mine, which will give me more mounting options.

You can do VTAC sling with the Tri-Rail out front and a VTAC Buttstock Adapter for the stock.

I think I may go this route except with an Ares Armor sling. Thank you for the idea.

This is the $200 option that I mentioned in my original post. I think its absolutely crazy!

If I'm spending triple digits on this sling rig I would probably go with the tri-rail for the tube, QD on the rail, buttstock adapter on the back, sling in the middle. Seems simple and effective.

You know.. was thinking this morning that you could also run the WOTG Gun Sling with the VTAC buttstock adapter. The gun sling has a 550 cord loop in the front for attaching to AR handguards and could probably fit the SLP although I haven't tried it. That way, you won't have to get the FN Tri Rail.

That WOTG sling is interesting.

Do you think the 550 cord would melt on the shotgun? It would be in direct contact with the barrel as opposed to only being wrapped around the handguard on an AR15...

I should have worded that better as I originally pictured wrapping it around the gap between the barrel and the mag tube. Just a theory as I haven't tested it yet.

While to Tri-Rail, QD Socket, VTAC Buttstock adapter option would "work", it is not the most cost effective option. The approximate total cost of that option is $160.99+shipping (Tri-Rail $120, QD Socket $30, VTAC Buttstock Adapter $10.99), but the American Firearms Solutions 1 to 2 point sling system (no sling) is $154.99+shipping. The reason for the $200 price tag on the full AFS 1 to 2 point sling system is all of the gear that is included in the system. The full system includes a Magpul MS3 sling, a Magpul ASAP optimized for use on the SLP, a flush QD socket mounted in the forend, a QD swivel, and the AFS FNH SLP Sling Mount Adapter with all mounting hardware. Since we have found that some customers would like to use a sling other than the Magpul MS3 included in the original package, we have added the option on our website of ordering our Sling Mount System without the Magpul MS3 Sling included and its cost has been deducted from the original $200 price. Our Sling Mount Adapter is machined out of one solid piece of 6065 T6 Aluminum in the U.S.A. Also, our system is truly ambidextrous in single point mode with the use of the Magpul ASAP; a quality not present in other sling mounting systems for the FN SLP. THe forward portion of the 1 to 2 point mounting sling system is strategically placed to allow for both strong and weak handed loading of the shotgun while it is slung. I just got my 2 point to 1 point sling from BDS Tactical. It cost me only less than $60. It came in Army Digital Camo. It can be configured either 1 point or 2 point sling, and one thing I really like it had was a "S" folds to absorb shock of your weapon being dropped. I forgot to mention that it was padded.
It is a great sling and really well made.
