You can usually get extended mag tubes for the 20 gauge guns that have 12 gauge cousins.. 1100, 870, Auto 5, Gold, etc.. The older 870's were built on the 12 gauge frame and you can just get the extended tube that would fit the larger 12.. When the 870 went light weight in the 80's, it was no longer the case since the nut that the barrel affixed to the action was a bit smaller as was the mag tube.

I run a 20ga 870 tactical express with extended tube. Put a short Choate stock on it, easy for me to go room to room and the length is good for my wife.
