12gauge blanks

Hey 12gaugers whatsup. Winchester makes a 12g 2&3/4 6dr.eq (!) blank, I bought some $30/box of 25. Apparently they are used for starting boat races.

They are hilarious to shoot!! Tremendous amount of smoke and blast, very loud. Barely any recoil. You can obscure a target in a couple of rounds. You can loan your shotgun to friends and for some reason they can't hit anything.....

They look like regular shells but they have cork in them where the crimp would be.

Be cool using these as "hollywood blanks" 'cuz the cork wad/sealer can penetrate paper at 15yrds.....ouch!

Just load your own and if you want a lot of smoke use FFg. It's cheaper and you can taylor them to your needs.

Cool csacannoneer: I thank you for replying to my post, are you implying that you could come up with some even more smoky/flashy/ba-boom blank loads?? Do tell......willing to help......

It's also strange since the price per round is so high for the blanks.....$.83 to make a big flash, a lot of smoke, and a huge noise? It's just too much fun to apply mere laws of logic.....

Yeah blackpowder will make lots of smoke and flash but ruin your shotgun if you fail to clean it right away. I wouldn't use it in a gas autoloader, that's for sure.

No shotguns ruined here my friend the aforementioned blanks are not a blackpowder load they are a blank load.....
