Pretty hard, unless you are willing to shell out north of $1000.

Some cool youtube vids with it. It is called the KSG. Dual 7 round tube mags, which is always been the reason people ask about CA legality.

There was a recent thread about it (in the 2A forum I think). I believe the consensus was that it is not because it auto switches between tubes - if memory serves.

                          Here is the thread.

Cliff's Notes: Probably not legal, but the DoJ refuses (bizarrely, in my opinion) to take a stand either way. So they are currently for sale in California. One shop that has one, Ammo Brothers of Cerritos, comments in the thread.

It's mystifying why the DoJ refuses to provide any guidance to the public or to the county district attorneys. I suppose they are afraid, if they rule against it, of being accused of making "submarine regulation," but surely there must be a procedure whereby they can make a ruling that can be subject to appeal. Leaving it so ambiguous means LE agencies and courts will waste a lot of their time and money, as well as citizens' time and money and possibly liberty, hashing it all out.
