Im looking at experimenting with wax / glue slugs. Each one has an advantage and disadvantage.
Wax Advantage: Bird shot breaks easily when impacting target, very cheap and easy to get a hold of.
Wax disadvantage: Melts, especially when your shooting all day.
Glue advantage: Does not melt.
Glue disadvantage: A little more expensive, not water prof, keeps wad attached to the slug and screws with accuracy.
I know there are many more to list, but these are the ones that came to me right away. My question is, what else can I use?? to hold the bird shot together?? I need something that meets the following:
Cheap
Water prof
melt prof (~250 degrees)
Not too hard when it dries
Easy to get a hold of
