slugs,00buck, birdshot, lead, steel. What are your needs.

sgammo for slugs and 00buck pattern for YOUR shotgun.

Walmart for birdshot, Fed 2 3/4" 3dram 1 1/8 oz. These work all the time out of my SLP. I also shoot cases of RIO.

For birdshot / practice loads Federal Top Gun or Estate target loads work the best for me. If you shop for a deal on shipping, as YSR suggests, you'll get as good a price or better than Wal Mart and lack of sales tax (for as long as that lasts) makes it a real deal.

For buck and slugs I use Federal managed recoil for real and Wolf for practice. Both function well in my guns and with defensive ammo function is the key as at typical HD distances there isn't a lot to worry about with patterning.

I shopped the Miwall booth at the Vallejo show this past weekend and their shotshell prices were about on a par with Wal Mart. The best deal I found with them on shot shells was on Fiocchi .410, and I should have bought more.

Sgammo.com is impossible to beat on almost every caliber. Cheap shipping. 250 Rio 00buck high power to my door for $135

Personally, I only shoot Federal, Winchester, Remington, and Hornady. I hear Estate is good too.

Great ammo. Heavy on the powder and very high brass. The 00 buck measure out near 3.00 even though they are 2.75 so keep that in mind. Also theres no fancy wads or pellets so the patterns got a larger spread then youll find with those no recoil flight control things. I love the Rio 00 buck.

Oh and they arent Crimped so they are more resistant to water. And with the clear cap you can see whats inside.

So it'll kick a little harder than most 2-3/4, and it'll spread a little more. Sounds good!

They aren't crimped? It's hard to see from the pictures, so what keeps the shot from spilling out? Just curious. I think I'll be buying that stuff next! Makes me wonder if learning to reload would even be worth the effort if new shells can be had for that price

I forget the name bit its a rolled edge with a solid plastic disk pressed down the hull. And your right at those prices reliadings obsolete unless youve already got the stuff laying around.
