    Good Shotgun Light?

I want to get a good flshlight that I can also maybe mount on my .22 or even my shotgun for night walking in the desert. I was thinking about the Surefire 6PD but I'm open to other opinions other than Surefire. I'm actually on a tight budget so I would actually like it if the Surefire was a last resort.

I'm looking for a LED light with a 1" diameter.

    Thanks in advance

pentagon lights are great for their price. the l3 might be a good option im not sure if it will fit on a shotgun with the bezel size. i know the l2 will work

The Surefire G2 LED. I've got a couple of them in my apartment and in my car and I'm planning to mount one on my shotgun as well. I'm assuming when you say the 6PD you mean the 6P Defender. Since you want to mount it, the Defender bezel isn't of much use so I don't see the need for it.

If the gun jams or malfunctions, better to have something than nothing

Anyways, I like that Pantagon light, looks like it could take a beating. Also, the Pentagon L2 says a bazel of 1.25", that isn't the measure of the overall diameter is it? Sorry, I'm a flashlight noob
        Thanks for you input guys

correct, the pentagonlight takes severe beatings. and on a shotgun, thats important.

here is a review from a forum that i frequent. there is alot of good information about the light

PentagonLight L2 Review Introduction: This is a review of the PentagonLight L2 (PL L2) Luxeon 3 LED light. Previous PL L2 reviews I have read seem to miss this intended military design issues entirely and are rather over-encumbered by Surefire comparisons that are not entirely relevant. Some...

by the way, 1.25 bezel is just the size of the flashlight head itself. the diameter of the L2 body is 1 inch so it fits all of your requirements! i guarantee you this light will make you very happy!

Take a look at Fenix lights. Ive turned on to them more recently because they are a good bargain for the lumens. They also update the LEDs they use frequently so you are always getting the brightest LED on the market. They are not as "bulletproof" as surefire but are still good quality.

Ive been wanting to pick up their new T1 light
Turbo Mode: Constant 225 Lumens, 1.5 hours
General Mode: Constant 60 Lumens, 10 hours
35mm Diameter which you might be able to mount.
            for $76, good deal.

Is there something much cheaper that i could mount on a Mossberg 590? Like $20? Is there a mount i could get and put my own flashlight?

I've been looking at this, its universasl and the picture shows a Mossy used anyway, so it should fit your shotgun.

                The pressure swith is optional.
