Just jailed my mossberg 500 combo!

Just jailed my mossberg 500 with both the 18.5 and 28 inch barrels in 12 gage. Any goodies I should get for it? I plan on using it 95% as a home defense gun with the 18.5inch barrel, however until I pick up a nicer shotgun for some occasional skeet and trap shooting and possible hunting, I will use the 28 inch barrel.

I'd say shoot it as is and get comfortable with it. When I picked up my 590A1 I went out and got 2 pack of the federal target load value packs and burned through all of it to determine what I liked and what I didn't. Then go from there. My buddy got the same combo 500 with the 18.5" and the 28" barrel and it may just be me but with the light 18.5 barrel the heavier loads just get too uncomfortable to shoot. A good buttpad is about the only thing I could think of that you might need. It'll be a long ten days but when its out, go shoot it! Also take a lot of pictures for us!

i keep my HD shotgun as light and simple as possible, without the whistles and bells. assuming your new Mossberg has a standard stock, consider the addition of a prefit Limbsaver recoil pad.

I get mine out on the 20th! Just ordered a ATI Collapsible stock, top rails, front tri rail and a flashlight mount. Cant wait to go shoot it!

I think maybe a light and side saddle and your good even just how it is will work.

It changes everything after you take it out a few times you'll know exactly what to throw on.
