Trap field in northern California

I did search it and a couple areas came up. I wanted to know where the northern California calguns members shoot. I'll be heading up to Livermore tonight for an appointment tomorrow morning and thinking about bringing the gun to go shoot some trap afterwards.

Depending on where you are located there are several different options for trap....

    * Sonoma, Valley of the Moon Gun Club trap fields open to the public on Wednesdays and Sundays. I shoot and instruct there. We also have 5 stand sporting clays on most Sundays.

    * Martinez, Martinez Gun Club, trap, bunker trap, skeet and 5 stand, they are open Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday.

    * Petaluma, Petaluma Trap and Skeet Club, trap and skeet, only open on Sundays.

    * Richmond, Richmond Rod & Gun Club, trap and skeet... this facility is non-toxic shot only

These are the ones most familiar to me and that I have shot at with some frequency over the years. We also have members who shoot and teach at Pacific Rod & Gun Club in San Francisco, which has both trap and skeet. There are skeet clinics taught there periodically that are announced in this forum. This club is also strictly non-toxic shot only.

You might want to plug into this search page at Clay Targets Online for even more places to shoot clays.

Not sure where you are located, but there's also Sunnyvale.

They've recently set up a Five Stand...

I can only say good things about valley of the moon. They sell shells their cheap, you don't pay much (especially minors!) and they will instruct you if you ask for some help. Some complain that they get very busy on sundays, I don't mind waiting, I've learned a lot by just waiting and talking to the experts.

Mana4Real and I shoot Trap and Skeet at United Sportsmen in Concord. They have a very nice facility there and are very shotgunner friendly.
