Front Sight mounting somewhere near Sonoma County

Anyone know of a gunsmith who can sweat a sight onto a shotgun barrel? I don't mind driving a ways, just don't want to have to pay big bucks to ship this shotgun to have it done.

Have you tried Wael at Independence Armory on Petaluma Blvd North? He can do most minor jobs and I'd think sweating on a sight would be fairly straightforward.

There is a guy up in Windsor as well, RC Gunsmithing. I found one of his cards at Petaluma Gun and Reloading the other day but now I've misplaced the card. From the look of it he seems to be pretty much full service.

Dan Gatley in Santa Rosa is a decent pistolsmith but I have no experience with him on long guns.

There is one other guy here in town, Gil Bradshaw, who works out of his home. He does a lot of shotgun and rifle work out of Valley of the Moon Gun Club. He did the stocks on two of my guns for me and is awesome to deal with. I can ask him if he can sweat a sight on.

I'm in and out of that thread from time to time. The M&G generally aren't when I have time to do them, sadly.

Give Markells a call. They have always served me well.

Big Dog, if you'd ask Gil if he can sweat on a sight, I'd appreciate it. I know both Wael and Dan, they're both good but they're also both backed up for a while and didn't want to bug either of them.

In the meantime, I'll be looking for RC Gunsmithing - if all else fails, I can always go by PGRS and grab his card since I live right across town.
