    $750 for Saiga 12 normal?

    Howdy,

Drove on down to So Cal and finally held a Saiga 12. I was hoping they would be closer to 650, but I guess with a bullet button etc it becomes more expensive than what the out of state price is? I saw one at Ammo Bros and Turners in Corona.

Thats reasonable, the only fly in the ointment is the damn sales tax stacked on top of that, but there is no alternative...

For a 200 dollar gun?? No, but if you want it enough, any price is fair.

the prices have been on the high side for the past few years, i doubt it'll go down much if any from where they are now.

California gets the bell end of everything; most, if not all, S-12's will be coming from out of state, with a BB or mag-lock which they can get away charging you up to $50 for a silly piece of metal simply for compliance, and then the gun has to be shipped here.

If you can make the big bucks in CA, then I guess it can work out because you have income and can somewhat mitigate paying for everything that's pricier than free states and don't even get me started on freedoms.

If you can't get the big money here and don't have strings here, it's best to bug out to greener pastures into real America.

I bought three the friday that the rumors of bans from shotshow started a couple years back. New Frontier had 8 in stock when I ordered. should have gotten all 8. Paid 460 ea. shipped with BB. Could have sold each one six months later for a grand or more... oh well. One I sold to a close friend at cost, one I converted and runs amazingly well, and the other was stripped and rebuilt for my Form 1. No other weapon I own (Maybe the .50) will turn heads like a saiga-12 with an 8" barrel...

Just DROS'd another for my Kushnapup build. It is what it is, but I agree they probably wont be dropping much ever again..

$700 to $800 is what they typically run around here. I've wanted one for quite a while but couldn't justify the price tag, considering what a rifle Saiga sells for, not to mention all of CA's BS dealing with the BB and round limits.

Considering the fact that the s12 is one of if not the only good mag fed shotgun available to non law enforcement..the price is pretty fair. Factor in the cost of converting it well and extra mags and you can start asking yourself whether or not you would rather have a benelli m4 because the price will get that high pretty quick. I'm not saying they are equivalent, its just something to consider.

Nope, because people hype it so much they can jack the prices up and people would still buy it. I bet it takes 50 bucks to make the gun, MSRP it at 200 but since the market wants it, 800 sounds good...
