Any one ?sent from the depths of my subconscious -
Not sure because I don't have a Stevens but look inside the action for the magazine control bar and the slide elevator bar . You may have to depress them to slide the bolt back in.
Failing that I'll ask the obvious. Did you do a google search for breaking down a 320? That's the first thing I would have done.
Here. I'll be your google whore:

I noticed when looking though the 2012 Savage catalog earlier today that they mentioned that the 320 has a "rotating bolt". Perhaps you need to insure the bolt is aligned on the carrier correctly to allow it to rotate back into a locked condition?
Here is a Youtube video from an ESL shooter, but he is kinda going about the dis-assembly process incorrectly, so it might be of dubious value: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mMGcGqouUjc
And the subsequent re-assembly: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mh5nM...hannel&list=UL
Ok, my Google-Fu is good, so I just found that the 320 is based upon the Winchester 1300. Winchester, unlike Savage, actually has their manual published online! Hope this helps: http://media.winchesterguns.com/pdf/...anual_om_s.pdfLast edited by SoCalXD; 07-09-2012, 7:04 PM.Comment

Hey guys I have a question very similar to the original here. I have no issues getting the bolt back, however I cant figure out how to get the bolt back onto the slide itself. Anyone know the trick to this one? I looked up the youtube video on the Winchester 1300, but there is a piece on that bolt assembly (that mine does not have) that keeps the firing pin from going anywhere. It is a plate on the bolt that keeps the pin in place. I don't have that on my bolt. Thanks!Comment

Nevermind! Figured it out... Man do I feel dumb after that one.Comment

The plate that holds the firing pin in place is actually attached to the slide instead of the bolt itself, unlike the Winchester 1300.Comment
