Known early batch problems with mossberg 930 spx

I saw another post on here about the mossberg 930 spx and the OP mentioned checking for early batch problems or indicators on the gun before completing the PPT.

I googled a little bit and found a few people with messed up front sights but other than that didn't find too much.

I am going to look at and PPT a 930 spx in just a couple hours.what should I be looking for? This is my first PPT.

Canted sights.
Make sure the screws to the top rail are not stripped.

I recently picked up a new 3rd generation 930 SPX. The above were fine BUT the Choate Magazine Extension was bent and cannot insert more than 4 rounds into the magazine tube before the follower would bind into the mag. ext. Sent back the ext. for a replacement.

I dont' think they will let me start putting shells down the tube at the shop to see if it holds all 8. If I get this thing home in 10 days and there is a problem with it I didn't catch. Can I go to Mossberg to have it fixed or will that not apply because I am not an original owner?

I have bought all my firearms brand new and have had no issues. This is my first shotgun, let alone used firearm.

Ask the seller if any known problems... At least that will be a head start to any problems that may arise.
