Question on shotgun.

So I'm thinking about getting a shotgun for basic shooting and defense. I know I have to get a longer barrel for the range I shoot at as well as wanting a relatively cheap autoloader.
So can anybody tell me anything at all about a CZ 712?

About reliability, weight, accuracy... The whole 9 yards.

That IS a good post and all, I like how it was pointed out how to look for the fit. But I am looking for particular reviews on this particular shotgun. If I make up my mind, I'll "see if it fits" lol

Yeah I have googled It and cant seem to find much recent reviews. Found one said the CZ shotguns blow up, so that's why I came here. To see if anyone has any personal time with this shotgun

Guns blow up when you make foolish errors reloading. I believe my new shotgun is rated at 20,000 PSI working pressure... Most loads I make are about 11,000 if I remember correctly.

Gotcha. I was reading it was more of a firing pin malfunction, birthday review was from 06, so I'm kind of taking it as a grain of salt hoping I can get that figured out

Ya, that's different than blowing up

@mana4real: that was tr end result from tr malfunction, they'd discharge while loading, blowing up the barrel in the process

And I am also looking at the Remington, just tryin to look for an auto loader first, pump second.
