    semi-auto 20 gauge recommendation

i'm in the market for a 20 gauge semi-auto shotgun for the wife, don't want to break the bank on this one but I would like to get something nice and reliable.

I saw a Charles Daily semi 20 gauge @ Ade's gunshop today for $325, not sure if this is a good gun or what the going rate is for this gun.

    I'm open to recommendations.

Go with a Rem 1100 20ga youth. I got my wife one and she loves it.

Where do you live? I'm in So Cal, and you're welcome to try it. It's not for sale, sorry.

For inexpensive and lots of support, Remington 1100. They're not as flexible as other models in terms of what kind of ammo they like, but you can get a clean one for $350 used if you look around a bit.

For better flexibility in ammo selection at a higher cost, try a Remington 11-87 or the Beretta 390/391. The Beretta's definitely the better gun, but costs more.

The Charles Dalys get decent reviews, but I'd keep an eye out for the Remington in the same price range.

A good place to check for user reviews is over at www.shotgunworld.com.

I love my 20 gauge Benelli Montefeltro, but it's certainly not in your $325 budget range.
