    Winchester 101

Am looking at a very nice condition Browning 101 O/U in 20 gauge - Improved modified and cylinder bore. It's out of state and am looking to see if it's old enough to use my C&R license. The serial # is K222408. Which makes it a Japan manufacture. I've checked around and can't find anything for certain, and definitely not certain enough to convince my favorite out of state FFL that it's OK to sell to me using my C&R. Any info appreciated..

    OK, I'll ask...

    Browning or Winchester?
    Winchester made the 101.
Browning made the Cynergy, Citori, Superposed, and Leige.

Oops - must have had Citori on the brain.

      Winchester - corrected it, thanks!

        Looks like 1970 for a 20 gauge.

Date & Know your Winchester Model 101 Shotgun. Beginning production in 1959, you can determine your date of manufacture / production using our handy and easy to use serialization & Identification chart. Records after 1971 were destroyed in a fire at Winchester and no longer available.
