    Ithaca SKB Question...?

I've had these two Ithaca SKB SBS's for decade, I've always been curious about this and am just now getting around to actually asking anyone about it.

The 12G has very basic and simple engraving while the 20G has comparatively fancy engraving. They are both marked as Model 100 and the only difference I can find on the two of them (other than barrel length and gauge) is the engraving.

Do you think the 20G fancier engraving is aftermarket and the more simple design on the 12G is what would have come from the factory?

I don’t think it’s aftermarket as I have a model 100 12g with that same “fancy” engraving. It could just be changes over the years of production or perhaps there were different levels of model 100?

No, it is not aftermarket. It came from the factory that way.
