    Aftermarket SG recoil pad?

Which aftermarket recoil pad have you installed on your shotgun? Thoughts?

I'm looking for one for my 1301 Mod2

Never bothered with a shotgun, but when my son was younger I used a slip on Limbsaver on some of the more powerful C&R rifles for him.

Limbsaver makes my 1301 recoil like a .410, it's awesome.

I always fought through the SG’s recoil, until I got a Benelli 1014.

Limbsaver seams to be the ticket for the 1301.

Thanks to Ocean Bob for turning me on to the luxury and cushiness of the Limbsaver, it's the bee's knees for shotguns, especially tactical that might be shooting 3" magnums or slugs. Being able to add LOP with the spacers is also killer, although that's a Magpul stock thing more than a Limbsaver thing.

I have installed lots of the grind-to-fit limbsavers on wood and composite stocks.
If it's a molded plastic stock, you have to find a pad that's made for that specific make/model and it will attach with screws or snap-in.

                Has anyone mentioned Limbsaver yet?

I have a Limbsaver on the Monkeyberg it works great adn I have shot a lot of 3 guns with this gun. Never have a mark on my shoulder afterwards

All the rest of the M500's with Magpul Stocks get this big Remington Pad that is about 25% larger and spreads the impulse out over a larger area.

Magpul makes an adapter for it. The Limbsaver fits the same adapter as long as you get the pad made for a Remington Shotgun with the Plastic Stock.

The Magpul stocks are butt ugly but man do they work well. Adjustable LOP and that pad is just the best.

I agree they are not the best looking and I don't want to add more weight so I just went with a Limbsaver for the factory 1301 stock.

I’ve used both Kickease and Limbsavers on shotguns and both have worked equally well.
RIP Louis Awerbuck. I miss you and your training.
