    Benelli M4 / Chokes

Just got my M4 out of jail and got a great deal from another CG'er on it here.

What can you shoot or not with the chokes installed?

I know I can run bird shot, what about 00 buck, slugs?

Do I need to take out the choke for the buck or slugs or does a choke always need to be in to protect the threads?

Just wanting to make sure I'm safe and not wanting to replace a high $$$$ barrel.

A choke has to be installed to protect the threads, correct

00 buck get a variety of brands and do some testing

00 buck with Flight Control Cyl or IC, nothing tighter than that.

Slugs I only use Cyl or IC

So with the choke it came with I should be able to shoot anything out of it?

          M4s come with mod chokes

Always keep a choke in....shooting without a choke will damage the threads

I have shot most loads through the m4 with mod, but you can go to IC or cylinder if you feel better that way...of course your barrel isn't rifled, so don't shoot Sabots

          Chokes are cheap $15-25 online
