Just saw Browning updated their web site and now shows the Citori 825. Some minor changes .
    -non ported barrels
    - trigger lite 2
    - price now 3679.99 sporting

Glad see they finally went away from ported barrels.

Why don't you like ported barrels?

They are louder than non-ported barrels, like a muzzle brake.

When I used to shoot a lot of skeet, there was a guy at the club with ported barrels.
I would usually opt out from shooting with his squad.

        BOBGBA has it right!
Those ported barrels are a real pain to shoot next to...VERY LOUD!

The extra noise from those ported barrels resonate greatly under a tin roof or canopy.

Do you even notice any extra noise when you're wearing ear protection?

Yes, the extra noise is noticeable.
The ports are typically perpendicular to the muzzle.

It's like standing in someone's fart cloud.
              Will it kill you? No.
But I'd rather not be in the immediate vicinity.

Ported barrels… Sounds like a good way to get inside other shooters head’s out on the skeet range🤔 Noted.

You can stand behind a shooter with ported barrels and the extra noise is not so bad. But standing off the the side can ring my ears, even with ear protection. If I am pulling for that shooter I push on my earplug to dampen the noise. Not a big deal.
