New Mossberg 930 SPX Gen 3

Just purchased and picked up a mossberg 930 SPX. Took it out to shoot some skeet this weekend and what a blast it was. Love this gun. Seems the new Gen 3 model pretty much has all of the bugs fixed that this gun had since the start. Ran a ton of junk ammo from WallMart Federal whitebox, Target loads and Game loads #8 shot and it ate everything I could throw at it. Never had a fail to fire or jam the whole day. Shoot about 350 rounds through it.

Does anyone know if anyone makes replacement parts in metal for the pusher assembly and the forearm retainer? These are made out of plastic and I can see with a lot of wear and tear that these items may crack as the plastic looks kind of weak. If not Ill call Mossberg to get a few replacement parts just in case.

I have a gen 1 930 that has had thousands of rounds thrue it and the plastic parts are still just fine, I wouldn't worry about it. I must have got that gun in 2005 or so so it is pretty old.

            Difference in 930 SPX Generations

The third generation has a thicker barrel similar to the Mossberg 590a1. Another improvement was a larger and thicker front sight post. Mossberg also replaced the skinny charging handle with a thicker one and from what I understand they replaced the spring so that it runs lower recoil ammo better. All in all it is a great gun for a great price.
