WWII Civil Defense shotgun

Today at the Ontario gun show I acquired a piece of history. The Remington shotgun that is a twin to the Browning A5. This one has a stamp on it saying SFCD with a little design surrounding it. It's a C&R and the dealer knew all the history with it. Very entertaining.

It is turning out that I have more shotguns than rifles. I do love them, even more so when they come with a story. Having it come from the D Armory sure beats telling my grandkids it was on sale at Big5. :-)

Model 11's are sweet shotguns for sure. What did you have to give for it?/

Wow now you have me wondering. I took some images and am uploading them now, will have the links in a few. The seller of the shotgun owned it for over 30 years. He had a price of $495 on it but we became friends very quickly. After about an hour of chatting he asked me to watch his booth while he took five mins. We exchanged info and hung out for a few hours. In the end he gave me a price for adopting his baby rather than buying it :-)
