They often sell used in the $500 range and are most of the gun that you get when you spend $1500 on a Citori.
They are a WAY better value than any of the $500-$900 turkish guns.

I picked up a CZ Woodcock. Has ejectors for $650 when I got it. Also had a loyalty voucher for $100 so $550+ the governor's cut and doc. fees. Love it!

Please advice.. love to have ejectors but looks like this option is available only on expensive guns.

Also debating whether to get 12g or 20g. Leaning more towards 20g.

          Thank you
One thing that I recently learned about a 20 gauge O/U is that with some of the youth models, the felt recoil can actually be worse than a 12 gauge. Apparently, this is because of the lack of versatility in 20 gauge loads and the decreased weight of the firearm. I bought one for my daughter to start on and she prefers my Beretta 686 because it kicks less. ?

I agree with looking for a 686, but they are pricy. You may want to look for an used 686 Essential, which is Beretta's discontinued no-thrills model. Meant for field use, it's a true 686 fitted with nothing special wood and a mat finish. It does have ejectors. I picked one up for $600 a few years ago, and love it.

But they still may be out of your $500 price range. Gunbroker has one for $1000, but you may find one for less at your local gun store.

                  Good hunting.

I picked up a Weatherby Orion a couple of years ago. So far I've shot 2 100rds of sporting clays and 2 upland hunting seasons without issue and like it just fine. You can get it in either 12 or 20 gauges.

I bought a couple of these from Bud's when my wife wanted to shoot skeet with me. She's 5'4", 125, and not really strong. We started with the 20ga, and cut the stock to fit, adding the https://100straight-com.3dcartstores...-adjuster.html to get it comfortable for her, and a Limbsaver recoil pad. She loved it, but wanted more shot, so I bought the 12ga. PERFECT, when I set it up the same way.

This is completely counter to all the expert advice, but it works for her. These guns are lightweight, but a properly-fit lightweight with a good pad has less perceived recoil than a heavy gun that doesn't fit. She can handle the gun so much better because it's lighter, and she shoots it well. Most of all, she enjoys it.

"It's Turkish junk. It'll wear out in 10000 rounds." Maybe, but so what? That's 400 games of skeet. If she wears it out, I'll buy another and move the hardware over. It'll take her five years to shoot that much. No way I'd hack up a 686 or a Citori. By the way, lots of high dollar guns use Turkish barrels.

This thing is light, accurate and absolutely bomb proof. I've have my 12 Ga since 2008 and I've taken many birds and busted many clays with it. The 20 gauge is great for kids.https://www.gunbroker.com/item/1053723338

Stoeger Condor - $300-500, no ejectors, barrel switch, and about a 1lb lighter than a Browning Citori (best O/U gun on the market), the only difference you get is a lighter gun, removing the shells by hand, (not a problem for SC and Trap) and it is has more kick than the Browning, but it can be a good second gun or beginner clays gun if you just want to use light to moderate power loads.
