Inherited some shotguns - need advice

Inherited these shotguns - any of these worth putting some money into to get them going again? They are pretty old. Any info, thoughts or perspective would be appreciated! I haven't seen them in person yet - going to PA to check them out next week.

By looks alone, you won't have to put a dime in to get them going. They look good to go. That Ithica's a beauty!

The Ithaca 37 is an excellent, valuable gun that has been made since 1938 and is still made in Ohio. Very much worth repairing and using. It appears to have a deluxe stock made of premium walnut. For date of manufacture and other details the guy that --literally--"wrote the book" on 37s is Walt Snyder. You can probably get a date from him by asking him on www.doublegunshop.com/BBS "Double Shotgun Forum". Designate your post "OT--Ithaca 37 DOM question" or something like that so you don't tick off any doublegun snobs.

The High Standard is a good usable pump if in good shape. Worth cleaning up and modest repairs as a "rainy day" gun or beater.

The bolt action shotguns are an acquired taste. They are usually well stocked for wingshooting but are slow on the repeat. Also good beaters and slug guns. The .410 is a great gun for killing small game and pests.

The single shot looks like a crude copy of a Stevens 95, itself a pretty crude gun. If it shoots, shoot it. But I wouldn't put much work or money into it.

The 37 is worth the rest put together, but altogether, these are a nice stash!
