Versamax Tactical Front sight and bead placement

Are these installed correctly? aren't these suppose to be installed on the center of the ribbed barrel?

Every bead or tube I ever saw was in the center of the rib.

Have you shot it yet to pattern the gun?

It shoots more right than center when shooting slugs! but let us say I haven't shot it yet, doesn't it annoy you seeing that the front sight and the bead are not mounted where it is suppose to be?

Yes. They both should be on the center line of the rib.

The center bead is to help control cant of your aim so if both are off by the same amount but you line them up when mounted, it may not make a difference that they aren't down the center.

Patterning it won't tell much other than the spread/density of the shot with a given choke/load.

Sucks man and btw, my VersaMax and my buddy's VersaMax Tactical also shot to the right. You may have to bend it telephone-pole style to correct the POI/POA problem.

Why don't you guys give them a call and ask them to send you a call tag so the problem can be fixed, that is what I did and it is on it's way back now!

I did and they sent another 26" barrel, same issue. Surprisingly, they tried again and sent an even longer barrel 28", which finally fixed the issue but of course, 28" is way too long so im having it cut. I also heard that other top shooters' barrel shot to the right so it's likely that they dont know how to build a barrel that shoots slugs accurately.

So it's a known issue that it all shoot right? they have a quality control issue then.

Seems to be common. Taran once told me that he's never had a Benelli barrel that shot straight out of the box so he's had to bend them all. So, it's not Remington only. However, my FNH SLP shot straight from the factory so someone knows how to do it.

                          UPDATE

Got my Versamax Tactical back a few weeks ago after sending it back to Remington for the front sight issue, they replaced the barrel and now my sights are dead center, went to the range 2 Sundays ago and tried the steel target at 100 yards with slugs, it shoots dead on center, I'm glad it was resolved right away as Remington Customer's service is Awesome!
