    Looking Over / Under

Took some time off from shooting skeet but looking to get into again. Still looking for a o/u shotgun. Where can I get a Lanber 2097 for a good price?

Or what are other options for a good decent cheap o/u with ejectors??? Thanks.

IMO there is no decent cheap O/U with ejectors... If buying a new gun about the cheapest I would go would be the Citori Satin Hunter at $1299.. Everything else below this price point isn't worth your time or money..

I just bought the 2087. It ships out Monday. It's literally the same thing mechanically but cheaper. It just doesn't have as much engraving and it has different wood. I'm by no means rich and I really wanted a new OU where I could change chokes for skeet and trap. Check out my thread in this section. Someone pointed me in the direction of CDNN to buy it from and I bought their blemished version of the 2087 for $550. It has ejectors. Dunno how long you want to wait, but I'd be able to give a full review in a couple weeks. Going to start DROS on Friday.

Reviews on the Lanbers coming out of Europe have been popular. I've seen someexamples popping up at local clubs in the past few months. Fit and finish were good for the price point and all the owners told me their results had been positive.

Base model CZ guns (which are Turkish made) are in the price range and I've seen a couple of really nice examples. Balance was excellent and I'd have needed only a minor bit of fitting to dial one in.

Do not sell the Baikal 310 short. Mine has between 8K and 9K rounds through it over the past 3+ years. Locks up tight as the day it was bought and shoots great. It also has selective extractor / ejector. Very hard to beat for the money.

I thought a Stoeger Condor Competition might be the deal until I had the opportunity to handle a well used one... lock up was as loose as a goose after 15K rounds. Don't know if they've gotten better since Benelli took the Stoeger brand under wing, but I'm not itching to find out.

You can find a Ruger Red Label used from time to time for $1000 or less. Those make an excellent buy as well.

That's basically the same conclusion I came to on the Lanber.
