    ShotLock

    Has anyone used the ShotLock?

I am waiting for my first Shotgun to be liberated and I purchased this since I don't have room for a safe and have a little one running around. Don't want to be fumbling around with keys in the middle of the night.

Does anyone know if this works well mounted horizontally?

I like the brief description at the top of the page:
      ShotLock
      Universal Solo Vault Safe
      14 Gauge Steel Construction.
Mounts on a wall or in a vehicle
Now that's what I'm talking about!

I've heard that these things don't fit guns with tall rear sights, like ghost rings.

No problem. Costco sells it for $40 cheaper than the manufacturer. They also have pistol locks as well.

Sentry also recently came out with a defense safe
its an actual safe instead of a mounted lock
It can fit your defensive guns
a pistol and a long gun
just enough stuff for the bump in the night

you might also look into that option
It is designed to fit in a corner if I remember correctly

Thanks - Do you have a model number or a link?

I have on for my 870 P. I lag bolted it to the 2x4 on my wall and it's pretty secure and sturdy. It is correct that some SG w/ rear sights/ghost rings will not work for this model. Although I was told by ShotLock that they are working on a model that would accommodate the ones with rear sights.
