Good dal on Security 870 w/ 2 shot extension?

So my buddy today offereed to sell me his 12ga 870 security with 2 shot extension. I beleive it is the older style before the one piee 6 shot mag tube (ill find out for sure later tonight) for $250. He bought it in January and hasnt put more than 1000 rounds through it. Do you guys think it is worth buying at that price? I have been kinda looking for a HD gun and this one certainly seems to fit the bill. I havent shopped around to much but based on a new one it seems like a good deal.

new in the store was 350+. the new style 870's are regular priced at ~379ish.

Big 5 had a sale on the Security model for $369.99 that ended today; regular price listed there is $389.99.

i'd say $250.00 for your friend's excellent condition 870 is an excellent deal.
