    12 guage ammo

Ok so as alot of you know I got a semi auto shotgun. I live in the country so I shoot EVERYDAY.
With a semi auto shotgun its fun to set up jugs and kill em all as fast as I can. Its major fun btw lol.
Anyways whats the cheapest 12guage ammo I can get?
Dont care if its bird shot or whatever. Just want it for fun plinking.
I paid $24 for 100 rounds of federal 2 3/4 bird shot today at walmart. Is there anything cheaper than that?

Thats about as cheap as it gets, decent stuff I have been using the federal #8 shot. Probably going to switch to some lighter stuff once my gun is broken in and I run out of it. Skeet mainly

Some times the wallyworld federal 25 rd packs (birdshot not behind the glass) cost 25-50 cents less per 25 than in the 100 rd pack.

Wanna save money? Shoot .22's. I live out in the country too and I carry a shotgun and a .22 around in the kubota RTV. I shoot my .22 everyday and it aint hurtin my pocket book.

The federal stuff at Walmart is loaded hotter and is cheaper than the bulk pack. It's in a blue box and called Target loads or something like that. It's not the same as the federal bulk pack. Or, if you want more fun, check out the stuff at sgammo. They have these "slugs" which are round balls. I bet that would make a milk jug blow up.

Cheap rifled slugs are also really fun to blow up water jugs with. I shot a 32oz gatorade bottle the other day with a cheap slug and finally got that feeling of excitement back is it blew in the air. Shooting everyday does get expensive and right now its almost not worth the time to reload shotshells. Someone who does alot of reloading will probably chime in with the price they are reloading shells per box for.

@norcal k9. I hear ya I carry my shotgun with slugs and shoot that whenever a coyote is screwin around with the horses. .22 for the squirells, and beretta 92fs just in case all fails I still have lots of cheap fun with the .22 and i can shoot 4 shots at least for under 11 cents. Don't get me wrong I shoot lots of AK and AR too so i hear ya on the fun factor!
