    590a1 long barrel

    So I am getting a 590a1 with a ghost ring sight 6 shot capacity

    I was wondering if there is a 28 or 30 inch barrel I can get for when I shoot trap with my friends

    don't have the money right now to get a dedicated over under

    you can use Mossberg 835 barrels for the 6 shot 590a1.

        Go buy the 500 combo at Big5, it comes with a 18.5 and 28 barrel. I just bought mine last week for $299. Picking it up on Sunday!

          Canative, the 590 was a gift, just trying to make the most of it

          This brings me to another question though, while I was reading on the the mossberg forum, it said you can't use slugs in the 835 barrel, and my question was why?

            The barrel of the 835 is overbored meaning that although it is chambered for a 12 gauge, the vented but the barrel's dimension is close to a 10 gauge. So the slugs can wobble and do all kinds of wonky stuff that could damage your barrel.
