Turners are having these low recoil buckshots on sale for $99.99 for 150 rounds. Will these work well with the Benelli M4? Someone told me before to avoid feeding low recoil ammos in my Benelli. Just want to make sure before I make the purchase. Thanks

Benelli M4 and low recoil buckshots

No way to know for sure. My M4 has handled every low recoil round I've thrown at it so far and I've thrown a pretty good variety at it. But some M4's are more picky than others. Best to buy a box or two first and see before you commit to 150 rounds. Make sure your gun is well lubed too."Kestryll I wanna lick your doughnut."

the first 100 rounds my M4 fired were Winchester AA Light Target Loads (I happened to be shooting Trap/Skeet that day with another shotgun and decided to try the M4 on some clays). It functioned just fine - the light target loads are definitely lighter than the low/reduced recoil rounds

Why?
if you're worried about penetration in a HD situation, you have a semi-auto... it's too "easy" to fire multiple rounds of a lighter/cheaper load which will stop the attacker and not penetrate. You can empty the M4 before you can get 3 shots off in a pump. I wouldn't think twice about pulling the trigger multiple times in a HD situation w/ a semi. Not the same w/ a pump since target acquisition is much slower.
I'm not a hunter, so I don't now what other situation there is for low-recoil buck.
Either way, break in your M4 w/ some cheap trap rounds, and then test out the other loads.sigpicComment
