But it's not so bad. I found a local spot that sells 250 rounds of Winchester 12 gauge for $60. They are also selling the .410 ammo I practice with for $12 a box. That's not bad for walking into a store and picking it up. I should be ok for a while. I'm lucky my wife understands how much I love the sport.

I shot with him today and felt more comfortable than ever. I'm starting to get the hang of it!
Oh, nice! I took the clinic 7-8 months ago. I loved it! If I shoot at Prado before another class, I'm hoping to hit at least 4

ammo seems like the least of my financial concerns considering I'm looking at $3000 shotguns! fortunately I'm not married so the only one I have to convince that it's a good investment is MYSELF..... and that won't be very hard!

Ya, we're far from rich. I save all my lunch money so I can buy ammo and go shooting lol. Bills gotta be paid, and I need to shoot. I really need to join one of these clubs. The cost per round is starting to add up.

I hear you.... I've been shooting a lot now that I've developed an addiction to skeet!!! plus, I find it necessary to shoot the Winchester AA's which are not even close to the least expensive shells.

I just use the Winchester bulk packs. Is there any difference? Is felt recoil lighter? Higher velocity? I used to shoot AA's until I started going all the time. But that was a long time ago when you could buy them for $5 a box about ten years ago.

What days do you normally head out? I'm there almost every week on the trap fields- usually weekends but I sneak in two or three rounds of in the evenings- not much of a skeet shooter, and only have done it a handful of times but I dropped by yesterday to pick up a briley choke that had come in and wanted to shoot some 5-stand... But it was being used by the tues night fun league. So I ended up shooting as a guest; 1 round 24yd trap 1 round crazy quail skeet and 15 5-stand targets.

Crazy quail is ridiculous fun, may need to start shooting skeet a bit more

For the events I ended with: 21/18/7... 70% ain't bad haha

I had no clue they did that at Prado. Is this normal or only for specific shoots?

                              Javi,

The fun leagues consist of a variety of games- they have three events per shoot and consist of basic trap skeet and 5-stand and all sorts of variations. I wish I had the schedule with me at the moment... The spring one just started several weeks ago I think
