    A great day trap shooting

So the day didn't start out that great. My first round of trap with my .410 I hit 14. Technically I hit 15, but I won't count it because I just barely chipped it. I decided to pull out the 12 gauge Over Under and go for a round of doubles which I've only done twice up until today. My previous doubles scores were 2 34's if I remember correctly. Today I hit 43!! I've been shooting the .410 a lot more lately trying to hone my skills (get me to take my time and really get on target) and I believe it's working!! I only had two boxes of 12 gauge with me, so I went back to singles with the .410. This time I hit 21 with the .410!! I was extremely happy with that improvement where I was getting 17 and 18 with the .410 before. I think my first singles 25 is soon to come. I noticed that when shooting the 12 gauge today, I was really powdering the clays more then I had in the past. Let's see if I can keep it up!!

Very nice shooting! I really would love to get into skeet/trap shooting especially because there is a shotgun range just down the street! Keep it up!

21 is a great score for Trap with a 410 congrats!

Dusted or chipped it all looks the same on the score card

So long as the scorer can see it, the tiniest chip equals "dead bird" on the score sheet.

The .410 will definitely make you a better shooter... well played on the 43 at doubles!!!

Thank you everyone. I am extremely happy with the improvement. I'm looking to get a 25 on singles, then next on the list is shooting skeet... With a full choke LOL... I figured out why I missed a couple of the second birds. I didn't lean into the first shot enough and I was a little out of place and it put my swing off a little bit. So when I was moving back into position, I was a little unstable. I just haven't shot doubles enough yet.
