Shotgun Love Story

Ok - so maybe not a love story but this shotgun was the single hand that brought back my complete passion for guns. When I started shooting this gun it truly made me happy and now I have evolved into one of those people who's excuse to buy a gun is "cus"

Any one else as in love with Benelli as I am?

Benelli Montefeltro Silver - nice!

My LH Monte was the 2nd shotgun I ever bought, which was last year. I swore for years that I wouldn't (and thanks to $, kind of couldn't haha) get another shotgun until I made 25 straight with my 26" 20ga 870 Express - which I'd had since I was a teen in the late 90s. My best was 24, and usually only shot a few times a year up until...

Spring 11', a friend convinced me to start shooting local club/ATA comps, and in the time after my first ATA shoot (with my 870...77/100 ), found a yellow clearance tag on a Montefeltro at the local Turners. Asked to look at it (it had always been one gun on my childhood want list), held it for a second before the person told me it was left handed...I hadn't even noticed. Five seconds later I said I'd take it...I got it the day or two before my first shoot with the club I had just joined. I cleaned 'er up some the night before, and that 1st Sunday morning in June, walked on to the field with a brand new gun that I had never shot. One box of Win AA Light Targets later, and I had shot my first 25 straight. My buddy was looking at me, grinning. Went 93/100 that day (but only 36/50 on 20yd HC). That gun got me going on finally shooting more...that also broke the dam on my shotgun moratorium, and needless to say, she's got a few relatives now. I'll be using her for my first Sporting Clays shoot (Rahhauge's Monthly Fun Shoot) in a couple of weeks, which will be my 2nd time on an SC course (3rd if I make it out on Sat). If anything, if I suck it'll be my fault, not my Monte's.

Ya that is pretty much what happened to me (minus the 25 straight!!) I had won a Remington 870 a PINK one too in a charity raffle, that was my first shotgun, bought my Monte when she came in with 50 other guns on consignment to KD I stole her out right away, I had a white lightning in there but wanted the semi auto. Took both to range to shoot my first trap ever though oh the women/girly gun would be best....ya right NO could not hit crap with that gun got pissed after 5 clays went back grabbed the monte shot the next 10 in a row my first time shooting trap ever...promptly sold pink 870
