Just a little trap shooting...

Went out trap shooting today. Weather was absolutely perfect. My best score is 22...until today. I hit a 23, 23, 20, then a 21. On the last round I hit 18 straight and then the wind picked up big time. Oh well. Still hunting the 24 and perfect 25. What a great day!
Just thought I would share my stoke.
Next Friday I'm going to shoot sporting clays for my first time up at Crows Landing with some friends. Can't wait. It's going to be a lot of fun.

Cool - Always good to hear about a good day of shooting - went out for six rounds today too - a little on the chilly side, overcast - but not too crowded at Prado, which was nice. Met a father son duo (son was about my age) who were just starting out in the shotgun sports - had a brand new Vinci and Sport II and they did fairly well, gave them some tips on how a standard round of trap works (rotations, rules). Joining us was another father son duo (again the son around my age). Good people, and was fun shooting with them.

I'm going to try my first sporting clays fun shoot in a couple of weeks..it will be interesting since I've only shot a handful of 5-stand and one sporting clays course haha.

@Capybara, the trap range I shoot at is all standard and legit setup from distance, to angles left/right and up/down and speed of clays.

Well done!!!

87 out of the first 100 is very good shooting, and the first 25 straight is within reach. Keep your mind on the fundamentals, don't over think and wear your very best hat next time you go out. That way you're certain to get a straight.
