Nice. I recently picked up my 870 also. What type of fore end is that? And how well does the afg function?

I recently picked up an 870 tactical myself, it's completely awesome with everything you'd need on it right out of the box. I'm looking for an 887 now!

Your forend is going to damage your weapon. We mortals tend to torque the forend when we rack it. Adding a vertical type forend as you have acts as a lever and will increase this torque. This causes your action bars to begin to twist and soon they will begin to bind in the receiver and you will begin to notice your weapon is not as smooth as it once was.

Your options are to get rid of that forend or keep it and simply replace the forend tube assembly when they action bars are twisted beyond use. You will be able as I mentioned the weapon will not cycle as smoothly and you can also tell when cleaning the weapon by looking at the action bars and you will notice one is twist in an pointing up and the other twisted out and pointing down. It all depends on to which side you torque. Not replacing the forend tube assembly may result in damage to the channels inside the receiver as the action bars in their damaged state cause excessive wear. Also, bending the action bars will work for a few rounds but as with all steel that is bent, they will return to their twisted bent state very rapidly.

Looks like a nice coyote getter! For HD the bad guy already shot you with his handgun before you got out of bed to get the shotgun. Now your on the floor dead while he tortures your family. If only you had a handgun in the nightstand you could of shot the crack head from bed soon as he opened the bedroom door.

Just sayin' don't let your 870 sit and wait for zombies that are not coming like all the tacticool shotgun guys. Put that baby to use whackin' predators!
