Mesa Tactical Stock

I am going to buy a Remington 870 for HD mainly,I would like to take it to the range and shoot different types of ammo through it...... bird shot,buckshot and maybe slugs.
I know that slugs are for further distance but will a Mesa Tactical stock change the POI and make it shoot high at say fifty yards? Sorry,,I am a newbie to shotguns.
Is an adjustable stock bad for longer distances since the shotgun has a bead sight which is made for maybe up to 25 yards? If I were going to shoot at longer distance,even at trap shooting would a taller sight in front be necessary? I hope I am making sense. Thanks.

If you really concern about long range with shotgun,
go get one with rifle sight, or install a optic sight on it

I was asking these questions because I know the Mesa Tactical looks tacticool but would it be practical for HD and also the range. The thought of having an adjustable stock is so my wife can use it too. She is shorter than I am and it would give her the ability to use the weapon for HD also.

You have been given some bad info if you were told a bead sight is for 25 yards. Most all the guys here can drop you dead with a slug at 100 yards. Guys have been killing deer at 100 yards with bead sight shotguns before I was born.

The Mesa is duty quality and worth the money. Add the Enidine buffer and the M-4 Limbsaver pad and you have to best recoil reducing stock on the market. There are no issues that you are questioning. You get the range time and become proficient with the weapon.

I just ordered the Mesa Tactical LEO stock adapter with the Shot Shock recoil reducing buffer tube and Magpul ACS stock for my 870 tactical. It'll be here next week. Ill let you know how it turns out.
