    Throwing Clays

Being a desert dweller, it's easy for me and the wife and son to drive ten minutes and be in a good spot for shooting on BLM land. The biggest issue we've had throwing clays was how much of a pain in the *** it was with getting a decent thrower without breaking the bank getting an electric one.

I think I solved that by getting a Tirus 1-step thrower that both cocks it and releases it with a single pedal. We took it out this weekend and it worked like a champ. My wife was actually throwing her own clays and hitting them all in one.

Anyone else use one of these? What few reviews I've read seem pretty good, but I'm just wondering about longevity and wear. With how easy it was to use, I have the feeling that we're going to be using the crap out of it in the near future. We went through a box and a half of clays already.

I'm sorry that I have no input on your original question. This is the first time I have seen this quote before and it is a great one!
What part of "shall not be infringed" don't you understand?

I've had mine for about 5 or 6 years and probably 1-200 boxes of targets. Works fine except it seems to walk a little.
Only problems I have are that it always throws at the same angle if you don't adjust it, and that the clays are quite slow.
It is a heck of a lot less expensive than the electric ones.

I used to use a mechanical thrower but had the same problem. We now use hand throwers and love them. We can throw fast/slow, high/low, right/left. You can even throw a "curve ball". We throw doubles with it. It has deffinatly improved my shooting.

I have a Trius 1 Step, love it; best thing I bought in a long time. I posted a video and complete review on another site: http://www.mossbergowners.com/viewtopic.php?f=78&t=2536
