    Remington 870 issue

I have a 1984 Remington Wingmaster which has protuding ejector pins. (I think that's what they are). Is this a serious issue which would need to repaired or is it common with wingmasters? If it requires repair, how much should it cost?

    Thanks for your help.

The pins sticking out is because someone replaced the ejector assembly and spring. Usually the pins are ground flush with the receiver and then the receiver has to be refinished.

Mikey gave you the correct answer. However, the way the one rivet is sticking up I question wether your ejector is even mounted soild. This was a "bubba job" and does not even look right. If that ejector is loose you can break the tip off and that holds your barrel in place. You then would have to replace it. If it is, then staking it correctly could save you from having to do another repair and you simply have a cosmetic issue that matters not to the function of the weapon. DO NOT SHOOT THIS WEAPON UNTIL YOU KNOW.

If you call me at 231-690-0954 and have the weapon in front of you we can check a couple of things such as ejector, rivets and ejector spring.
