    rem 870 express super mag

What do you all think about this shoygun? I plan to buy it and use 3.5" for geese hunting? I read that it jams.

I got a super mag about 10 years ago and it has been very reliable. Cannot say I have shot more than a handful of 3.5" loads but everything was smooth.

I bought one on here a year ago.

Shots just like my 870 express. Had a few issues with it kicking shells out of the magazine under recoil.

I can't comment. I have never shot a 3.5" load nor care to. If that is what it takes to put that bird on the table then he can just fly on and I will go buy a chicken at the store.

I have however rebuilt a number of the Super Mags to Tactical guns for clients and they run just fine as they are simply 870 with a longer ejection port and a silly *** shield extending the breech bolt. Rather cheap that Remington would not even re-disign the breeck bolt for this model and that alone would cause me not to buy one.
